La Pastellerie is a French company founded by a chemical engineer with a lifelong passion for drawing. Driven by the desire to create the perfect pastel, he developed a unique formula that brings together exceptional softness, vibrant colour and outstanding quality. Every pastel is entirely handcrafted in our workshop in France using high-purity pigments to achieve remarkable brilliance and exceptional colour performance.
CHAPTER I
From Drawing to Chemistry
La Pastellerie was born from a personal pursuit of perfection. A chemical engineer with a lifelong passion for drawing could never find the pastel he had always imagined—one with exceptional softness, luminous intensity and uncompromising purity.
Guided by scientific precision and an artist’s eye, he decided to create it himself. In a small workshop in Paris, surrounded by laboratory glassware and sketchbooks, the journey began.
